【摘要】:Thisstandardspecifiesamethodforthedeterminationofthestabilityofaviationfuelsintheirfinishedformonlyforreciprocating,turbine,andjetengines,underacceleratedoxidationconditions.Thismethodisnotintendedforthedeterminationofthestabilityofaviationgasolinecomponentsindividually,particularlythosewithahighpercentageoflow-boilingunsaturatedcompounds,astheymaycauseexplosiveconditionswithintheapparatus.However,becauseoftheunknownnatureofcertainsamples,thespecifiedpressurevesselassemblyincludesasafetyburst-discinordertosafeguardtheoperator.Theresultsmaybeusedasanindicationofthetendencyofthesefuelstoformgumanddepositsinstorage.Itshouldberecognized,however,thatthiscorrelationmayvarymarkedlyunderdifferentstorageconditionsandwithdifferentaviationfuels.NOTE1Precisionforthisstandardhasonlybeendeter?minedforanagingperiodof16h.NOTE2Forthemeasurementoftheoxidationstability(inductionperiod)ofmotorgasoline,IP40shouldbeused.
