【摘要】:Thehardnessofamaterialisadefinedquantityhavingmanyscalesandbeingdependentonthewaythetestisperformed.Inordertoavoidthecreationofanewmethodinvolvinganewhardnessscale,theUCImethodconvertsintocommonhardnessvalues,forexample,HV,HRC,etc.TheUCIhardnesstestisasuperficialdetermination,onlymeasuringthehardnessconditionofthesurfacecontacted.Theresultsgeneratedataspecificlocationdonotrepresentthepartatanyothersurfacelocationandyieldnoinformationaboutthematerialatsubsurfacelocations.TheUCIhardnesstestmaybeusedonlargeorsmallcomponentsatvariouslocations.Itcanbeusedtomakehardnessmeasurementsonpositionsdifficulttoaccess,suchastoothflanksorrootsofgears.1.1ThistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofcomparativehardnessvaluesbyapplyingtheUltrasonicContactImpedanceMethod(UCIMethod).1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
