【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscovertwoproceduresformakingapreliminaryevaluationoftheload-carryingpropertiesoffluidlubricantsbymeansoftheFalexPinandVeeBlockTestMachine.Note1-Additionalinformationcanbefoundinregardingcoefficientoffriction,loadgageconversions,andloadgagecablibrationcurve.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Becausetheequipmentusedinthesetestmethodsisavailableonlyininch-poundunits,theSIunitsareomittedwhenreferringtotheequipmentandthetestspecimens.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Theexternalloadingpropertiesofplasticpipeobtainedbythistestmethodareusedforthefollowing:Todeterminethestiffnessofthepipe.Thisisafunctionofthepipedimensionsandthephysicalpropertiesofthematerialofwhichthepipeismade.Todeterminetheload-deflectioncharacteristicsandpipestiffnesswhichareusedforengineeringdesign(seeAppendixX1).Tocomparethecharacteristicsofvariousplasticsinpipeform.Tostudytheinterrelationsofdimensionsanddeflectionpropertiesofplasticpipeandconduit.Tomeasurethedeflectionandload-resistanceatanyofseveralsignificanteventsiftheyoccurduringthetest.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofload-deflectioncharacteristicsofplasticpipeunderparallel-plateloading.1.2Thistestmethodcoversthermoplasticresinpipe,reinforcedthermosettingresinpipe(RTRP),andreinforcedpolymermortarpipe(RPMP).1.3Thecharacteristicsdeterminedbythistestmethodarepipestiffness,stiffnessfactor,andloadatspecificdeflections.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.Note18212;Whilethistestmethodcanbeusedinmeasuringthepipestiffnessofcorrugatedplasticpipeortubing,specialconditionsandproceduresareused.Thesedetailsareincludedintheproductstandards,forexample,SpecificationF405.1.5Thetextofthistestmethodreferencesnotesandfootnotesthatprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthetestmethod.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
